Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) joins the rest of the World to celebrate “World Consumer Rights Day” under the theme “Fair Digital Finance”.
Digital Finance refers to the delivery of traditional Financial Services Digitally, through devices such as Computers, Tablets and Smart Phones i.e transfer of funds through Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS), Mobile Money transactions and Crypto Currencies among others.
In line with the Bureau’s mandate of Standards Development, Consumer Protection and Promoting Fair Trade, we have so far developed sixteen (16) specific standards to ensure Consumer Protection and Fair Trade in Digital Finance.

Therefore, as Uganda joins the World to Celebrate the World Consumer Rights Day, UNBS urges the Public and the Financial Services Sector to acquaint themselves with the content of the above standards which are available on the UNBS Website https://webstore.unbs.go.ug .
